Ceteceans

Through the tranquil tropical sea,
Came a soft sound to me,
I can hear it over the waves,
A song that has been saved,
Over thousands of years alone,
Such a soft, gentle tone.

It sings of all the good times,
It sings of all the bad times,
And all the times in between,
Through waters blue and green.

I listen closely to each moan,
All the changes in the tone,
From happy to sad,
From mournful to mad.

I envy the song,
That tells of the rights and wrongs.
Through the silent night,
The song echoes loud and bright,
Of all the world's sins,
Sing the cetacean.
