Sonnet: Love the Sea
T'was Christ who taught my heart to love the sea, With mysteries obscured by tranquil tide; Gentle songs from the depths entrances me, And the mystic dance of sprites who hide, Beneath the calm aquamarine surface; Within a world of beauty and tales; With melodies of innocents that pace The gentle giants of the deep-whales. With amazing grace they glide through the bay; Dorsels high and proud show their majesty, And small rainbow droplets of water say: God did grant grace, love, purity in me. Attracted by their serene song so free; T'was Christ who gave my heart a chance to see!
